My Elizabeth - Chapter 7

A vague disclaimer is nobody’s friend.  So, we might need to talk because things will get bumpy soon.  We have a season five Buffy on our hands.  Just twenty-four hours ago, she saw Spike as a ‘thing.’  I think it’s going to take her a while to come around.  She will be conflicted.  She will be mean.  She isn’t going to weaponize sex, but at first she will see her sexuality as something other than happy-snuggly time.  She has the potential to come around, but it wouldn’t happen in a matter of a day for her and it wouldn’t happen that quickly for me either.  If you are uncomfortable with these concepts, this might not be the story for you.  No hard feelings.  If you’re still with me, let’s go have fun!

Chapter 7 

Buffy didn’t know what her first thought was upon waking, because it was quickly replaced by her second thought:  mornings are the worst. Whenever anything awful landed in her life, mornings were always the worst – that split second before she realized that everything had been turned upside down only made the moment of realization sting like a slap in the face.
